50th May Fayre & Puppet Festival

On Sunday 11th May 2025 the 50th Annual Covent Garden May Fayre & Puppet Festival will be held in the garden of St Paul’s Church, Bedford Street, WC2 near the spot where Samuel Pepys first saw Mr Punch in England in May 1662. Punch & Judy Professors from all over the country will be gathering to perform throughout the day to celebrate this unique tradition and Mr Punch’s 363rd birthday.

The procession will start at 11am from St Paul’s Church garden and afterwards there will be a special church service, Punch & Judy puppet shows and workshops throughout the day. Everyone is invited to join the fun and to celebrate the traditional art of puppetry!
